Management Systems
In 2012 Council adopted a Quality Policy stating their commitment to "delivering reliable services in the most efficient, effective, professional and financially responsible manner to enhance the quality of life for our citizens." To honour that pledge we apply a process approach whereby staff work across functional boundaries to reduce redundancies and increase responsiveness. Management systems covering environment, information technology, infrastructure assets, projects, records, safety, and quality provide a consistent way for the Municipality to plan, deliver, measure and continually improve client services and workplace practices.
Although certification is not a requirement, conforming our management systems to industry standards such as Excellence Canada and ISO is a sure means for streamlining operations and improving customer satisfaction, supplier relationships and employee performance. Integrating systems within an enterprise-wide governance, risk management and internal control framework is a primary objective.
