Review of Planning Documents

In 2014, the Municipality started a process to update our planning documents. This plan review process resulted in new documents that guide how and where the Municipality will grow and change. To date, the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law have been reviewed and approved. These documents became effective January 9, 2020 and are available for download on the right.

Currently, the Village of Chester Secondary Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law are under review. This process is anticipated to take approximately twenty-four months. For the latest on the Village of Chester Plan Review, please visit: https://www.voicesandchoices.ca/villagereview

Once the Village Plan Review is complete and a new Village of Chester Secondary Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law is adopted, the Municipal Subdivision By-law is the final planning document scheduled for review.
